HOLLYWOOD PUBLIC WORKS - HALLOWEEN SHOW
THEMED ENTERTAINMENT
Who: Writer/Performer
What: A 30-minute seasonal Halloween show performed by the Hollywood Public Works, a trio of characters associated with the Citizens of Hollywood improvisational street performers
Where: Disney’s Hollywood Studios in Walt Disney World
When: Every day in October; 2013 - 2016
Why: I was cast as Wrench Oddman of the Hollywood Public Works in March of 2013, a dream job if I ever had one! The trio had been performing a popular Christmas-themed show every day in December for years, and I saw an opportunity to create another seasonal show. I took it upon myself to write a Halloween-themed script and sent it to the show director, not ever thinking it would actually be considered. He enjoyed it enough to send it to Disney Show Writing, who gave it a green light to be produced! A month later we were workshopping the show and a month after that we were performing it daily on the streets of Hollywood Blvd. That’s show biz, baby!
